With an impressive combination of strong personality, ambitious goals, convincing leadership skills and extensive industry experience, Jaouad Bahaoui is the dream appointment ISOLITE has been waiting for. With his extensive expertise, including as Business Unit Head of Industrial & Large Motors, Mr Bahaoui is ideally suited to take on the leadership role at ISOLITE AID. Mr Bahaoui sees his vision and mission at ISOLITE in strengthening and expanding the AID segment as well as setting new standards for the sales process and operational management of the division within the group. The CERTINA Group, with headquarters in Munich, Germany, today announces the signing of the purchase agreement to acquire two plants producing thermal and acoustical shielding of ElringKlinger AG. The transaction includes the sites in Sevelen, Switzerland, and Buford, USA. The purchase agreement was signed on the 7th of October 2024 and the closing is expected until the end of the year.

With this strategic acquisition, the CERTINA Group gains two strong companies in the domain of high temperature solutions. This allows CERTINA to expand its market position and technological expertise in thermal and acoustic solutions. The close partnership with the ISOLITE Group, a subsidiary of CERTINA, creates valuable synergies for the development of efficient and innovative high-temperature insulation solutions.

The acquisition of the ElringKlinger subsidiaries in Switzerland and the United States, which together generate sales of around €175 million, will increase the CERTINA Group’s sales in the High Temperature Solutions division to over €275 million. In addition, the global footprint will be strengthened with a total of twelve production and technology sites in the United States, Europe and Asia.

This step constitutes a significant milestone in the history of the CERTINA Group. It reflects the company’s commitment to remain a strong and reliable partner for its customers and to further expand its leadership in the market of advanced insulation solutions.

ISOLITE once again demonstrated its strong position in the aviation industry at ILA Berlin 2024, one of the leading international aviation trade fairs. For the first time in the company’s history, ISOLITE exhibited in the prestigious main hall – along with industry giants like Airbus, Boeing and Rolls-Royce. This strategic position among the market leaders impressively emphasizes the growing importance of ISOLITE in the aviation industry.

The ILA Berlin 2024 proved to be a top international event. With over 100,000 visitors from more than 60 countries and over 600 exhibitors, the trade fair was a central meeting point for experts and innovators from the aerospace industry. The presented technological innovations from aircraft technology and aerospace to advanced materials attracted worldwide attention.

Political support for the aerospace industry was also evident at the trade fair. Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz visited the ILA in person and underlined the immense importance of the industry for the German economy and innovation in his address. Scholz was joined by other high-ranking political representatives who were too aware of the relevance of the event.

A particular highlight was the spectacular air show of aircrafts Tornado, the Eurofighter and the Airbus A321, presented in action. These impressive demonstrations thrilled the audience and offered fascinating insights into the performance of modern aircraft technologies.

The trade fair was a remarkable success for ISOLITE for several reasons. Numerous new contacts were made and the interest in ISOLITE’s products and solutions was enormous. Particularly outstanding was the resulting visit by a high-ranking delegation from a big aviation producer: experts came from the USA to meet ISOLITE at the Headquarters in Ludwigshafen. This visit marks another important milestone for the company and emphasizes ISOLITE’s growing reputation in the international aviation industry.

The successful exhibiting at the ILA Berlin has further strengthened ISOLITE’s position and opened up new business opportunities.

We want to stay on this path and will be exhibiting at AIRTEC in Augsburg from 8 to 10 October 2024.

Successful launch of the new production site in the Czech Republic

Another decisive factor in our recent success is the successful ramp-up of our new production site MINILEIT s.r.o. in the Czech Republic, which is specialized in the automotive sector. Since its opening, this site has established to be an indispensable part of our production chain and contributes significantly to our increased capacity and efficiency.

Return to Ludwigshafen: The new-old home of the AID division

We are also delighted to announce that our Aviation, Industry & Defense divisions are returning to the technology site in Ludwigshafen. This homecoming will enable us to work even more efficiently and optimize the synergies between our departments. Summer party as a thank you in the middle of the year

The successes to date were duly celebrated at the annual summer party on the company’s own premises. The day began with an extensive employee information event, at which the management not only presented current developments and future goals, but also emphasized transparency and appreciation. The managers emphasized the crucial role of each individual in the company and expressed their thanks and praise for the outstanding achievements of all employees.

The speeches were followed by the summer party, which was held under the motto ‘Celebrating success together’. In a relaxed atmosphere with delicious food, refreshing drinks and a colorful entertainment program, the celebrations were exuberant.

A special highlight of the day were the new ISOLITE acrylic paintings, which were signed by all employees. These works of art will now adorn our company premises and symbolize the contribution of each individual to achieving this great goal. Each signature symbolizes the commitment and outstanding work that is carried out every day at ISOLITE.

Looking to the future

ISOLITE has set a significant milestone by reaching the 100-million-euro turnover mark, but this is just the beginning. Gaining bright sparks for sales and innovation in project management

We are delighted to announce that two highly appreciated colleagues are returning to the ISOLITE family. Nicolas von Stolzmann will be part of our team again from August 31, 2024 while Ljubodrag Jovic has already returned. Their comeback is essential for the implementation of ISOLITE’s future sales vision and marks a significant milestone in our company’s development.

With Mr. von Stolzmann as Head of Sales and Mr. Jovic as Head of Project Management for Automotive, Commercial Vehicle and After Sales, we are laying the ground for our future success. We are proud to see how our ISOLITE family continues to grow and develop. This is a solid base on which Florian Thiele, COO in these areas, can focus his full attention on his new tasks.

Mr. von Stolzmann comes with extensive experience and in-depth industry knowledge. His achievements to date are testament to his commitment and ability to develop outstanding solutions that ensure both customer satisfaction and flexibility in a changing market.

Mr. von Stolzmann worked at ISOLITE between 2007 and 2013, and gained valuable experience at ISOLITE. His efforts on winning great projects as well as his leadership qualities have contributed significantly to the success of the company. His return not only marks an important event for our company, but also a return of proven expertise and collaboration.

Mr. Jovic has also been an integral part of ISOLITE, from 2015 to 2021 as Project Manager for the Automotive & Commercial Vehicle division. During this time, he successfully managed projects for exhaust system insulation and later more complex projects with automated assembly processes for exhaust manifolds and turbochargers. Mr. Jovic has been back at ISOLITE since April 2023 and took over the management of sales and project management on an interim basis in September 2023. We see increasing customer requirements coming and therefore we have decided to separate the areas of sales and project management again in order to focus even better on our customers and make optimum use of the knowledge and strengths of both positions.

The current changes in our industry are undoubtedly a challenge. That’s why we are grateful and proud to have competent and passionate people like Mr. von Stolzmann and Mr. Jovic in our team, who not only have a deep understanding of the automotive sector, but also expertise in the commercial vehicle and related sectors. We look forward to the experience, expertise and personal contribution of Mr. von Stolzmann and Mr. Jovic and warmly welcome our colleagues to the ISOLITE family again.

We are delighted to welcome new working students and trainees to our team.

The first steps in the professional world are an exciting phase for young people, but at the same time an exciting challenge for ISOLITE. The fresh view of the company processes from the outside, the introduction of new creative ideas and the lively exchange are among the most beautiful impressions of this phase.

Last year, seven trainees started their journey at ISOLITE. Three of them are completing an traineeship as industrial clerks, two are being trained as industrial insulators, another is a warehouse clerk and one is a person in the field of IT. In addition, seven working students were recruited who are engaged in various departments, including purchasing, finance, sustainability reporting, human resources and maintenance. In addition we have won one person in the “Launch Management” department to cope with the expansion of our new plant in the Czech Republic and  tpo support our colleagues during this challenging project phase. The plant in Klášterec nad Ohří was officially opened in November 2023 and has already successfully passed the first customer audits for factory approval.

This year, two working students from the field of engineering have already been accepted into full-time positions. This emphasizes ISOLITE’s intention not only to remain a stopover, but also to promote its own talents in-house and to take over them in the long term. New employees play a decisive role for the future of ISOLITE and make a significant contribution to the success of the company.

We are also pleased to welcome the returnee Mrs. Jasmin Straub, who has been working in the human resources department again since the beginning of October after her two-year parental leave. Mrs. Straub has been an integral part of the ISOLITE team since 2015 and has gained valuable experience over the years, first as an assistant to the management and later as a personnel officer. Since October, Ms. Straub has taken over responsibility for the areas of time recording, wages and salary in the Human resources department.

November 28, 2023, became a very special day for the ISOLITE Group, as we celebrated the Grand Opening of our new production plant in Klášterec nad Ohří (CZ). The new production plant is not just a building, but a symbol of progress, innovation and constant aspiration for evolution and perfection.

The long way towards this impressive result was marked by hard work, commitment, and team spirit. It’s our vision to create a modern and efficient production environment, and it’s becoming real now. The cutting-edge equipment for the plant demonstrates not only our will to invest into technology, but our commitment for sustainability and ecological friendliness too.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude for everyone who contributed to this success: our highly motivated employees, partners, suppliers, and everyone, who worked hard behind the scenes. You made our milestone, the Grand Opening today, possible with your determination, devotion, and passion.
